Visitor privacy
This site counts page views automatically to understand which pages people use and where traffic comes from. The public map shows grouped location totals. It does not identify individual visitors.
What is counted
Opening or reloading a page adds one view. Periodic updates do not add views. The online indicator counts visible pages with a recent update, so two tabs can count twice. It is not a count of unique people or unique IP addresses.
No tracking cookie, browser fingerprint, or identifier shared across pages is used. A random page reference stays in memory while that page is open. It prevents duplicate updates and measures visible time. It is not saved in local storage or reused after a reload. Browser privacy settings, recognized bots and explicit opt-outs are excluded. Blocking scripts or leaving before the first update can prevent a view from being counted.
The backend retains totals grouped by day, page, traffic-source category, city and country, including total visible time. It does not save full referring URLs, search terms, raw IP addresses or IP hashes. Page references expire after 24 hours and are removed on the next analytics request. Grouped totals remain. Existing private records from the older session counter are preserved; they are no longer extended.
The public panel exposes counts by location, including locations with a single view. It does not expose page references, individual visit times, viewing durations or IP addresses. Earlier totals counted the first page of a browser session; new totals count each page view.
Locations
The application uses the request’s network location or an IP lookup in a database hosted with this site. It processes the IP for that lookup and does not save it or send it to an outside location service. The hosting provider handles network requests and may retain its own operational logs.
No GPS permission is requested. Coordinates are rounded. VPNs, private relay and mobile networks can show a network exit city instead of your city. When only a country is available, the map shows the country.
Your choice
Page-view counts are on. No tracking cookie is set.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also exclude a browser from this recorder. An earlier Decline choice is respected. If you choose “Exclude this browser,” a preference cookie remembers that choice for 180 days. It contains no visitor identifier. The map remains available either way.
Excluding this browser stops new collection. It does not remove prior totals. For privacy questions or a deletion request, contact Viresh on LinkedIn.
